Course Summary
Annual Refresher (AR)
This three-hour course provides an opportunity for you to refresh your knowledge of first aid, keep your skills up to date, and discuss any concerns or queries that you have regarding first aid. Though not legally required, it is strongly advised by the HSE that First Aiders attend a yearly refresher to ensure the ongoing relevance of their skills.
The course consists of both theoretical and practical activities, and upon completion of the course, candidates will receive a certificate of attendance.

Assessment
The instructor conducts ongoing summative practical assessments. Upon successful completion, learners will receive a CPD certificate. No external assessments are required for this qualification.
Duration
This qualification is valid for three years. To renew it, learners must complete the course again. It is recommended that learners attend annual refresher courses during the three-year period.
Certification Validity
This CPD session has no formal expiry.

A maximum of 12 students can be accommodated on this course and all candidates must be a minimum of 16 years of age to qualify.
