CITB Site Management Safety Training (SMSTS)
The CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) is designed for site managers and supervisors in the construction industry. This comprehensive course provides the knowledge and skills to manage health, safety, and environmental issues on construction sites, ensuring the wellbeing of workers and compliance with regulations.
Course Contents
The Health and Safety at Work Act.
Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations.
Risk assessments/method statements.
Recent changes in accepted working practices.
Behavioural safety. Management of occupational health.
Electricity. Excavations.
Working at height.
Scaffolding. Demolition.
Confined spaces.
Assessment
Continuous assessment. You need to attend all 37.5 hours of training. Multiple-choice test
Duration
This course requires a minimum of 37.5 hours of teaching. This should take a 5 days but can be changed to suit your needs.
Certification Validity
This qualification lasts 5 years, then a refresher course needs to be completed
Further Information - Course Numbers
A maximum of 12 students are allowed and must be a minimum of 16 years of age and a certificate can be offered to all, subject to assessment.

Pre-requisite: NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (Recommended)
