CITB Site Supervision Safety Training (SSSTS)
The CITB Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) is designed for construction supervisors and site managers. This course provides the essential knowledge and skills to supervise health and safety on construction sites effectively, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and promoting a safety-first culture.
Course Contents
Health and safety law and how it applies to supervisors.
Your supervisory responsibilities in controlling site safely.
Risk assessments and the need for method statements.
Effective site inductions, toolbox talks and method statement briefings.
Monitoring site activities effectively.
Timely intervention when bad practice is identified.
Assessment
Continuous assessment. You need to attend for 15 hours. Multiple-choice test
Duration
This course requires a minimum of 15 hours of teaching. This should take a 2 days but can be changed to suit your needs.
Certification Validity
This qualification lasts 5 years, then a refresher course needs to be completed
Further Information - Course Numbers
A maximum of 12 students are allowed and must be a minimum of 16 years of age and a certificate can be offered to all, subject to assessment.

Pre-requisite: NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (Recommended)
