Legionella Awareness Training
This 3-hour course provides essential knowledge about Legionella bacteria and its associated risks. Participants will learn how to identify potential sources of Legionella, understand the health risks, and implement control measures to prevent outbreaks in the workplace or residential environments.

Understanding Legionella bacteria and related diseases
Identifying Legionella risk areas
Control measures and water system maintenance
Legal requirements and employer responsibilities
Emergency response and reporting
Assessment
Assessment is on-going by the instructor, culminating with a multiple choice question paper.
Duration
The course requires a minimum of 3 hours, distributed over the day.
Certification Validity
This qualification has no formal expiry, however regular CPD and updates are recommended.
Further Information - Course Numbers
A maximum of 12 students are allowed and must be a minimum of 16 years of age and a certificate can be offered to all, subject to assessment.
