Course Summary

FAA Level 3 Award in Principles of Safeguarding and Protecting Children, Young People or Vulnerable Adults (RQF)

Safeguarding involves protecting children, young people, and vulnerable adults from abuse or neglect caused by the actions—or inactions—of others. To effectively safeguard and protect individuals, it is essential to learn how to identify those at risk and take the necessary steps to prevent abuse and neglect.

Everyone has the right to feel safe and live free from abuse, neglect, or exploitation. This safeguarding course aims to equip you with the skills to recognize the signs of abuse and neglect and take appropriate action to prevent it and ensure it does not happen again. Abuse, neglect, and exploitation can occur anywhere and are often perpetrated by someone in a position of trust.

This course is suitable for individuals across all fields and provides the knowledge and tools to make a positive difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals. It also helps practitioners understand how to safeguard themselves while reporting incidents and seeking assistance in their daily work.
