Level 3 Supervising First Aid for Mental Health (RQF)
Mental health conditions can affect anyone, whether personally or through a family member, friend, or colleague.
This course expands on the Level 2/5 Award in First Aid for Mental Health, providing an in-depth understanding of a broader range of mental health conditions. It also delves into the various therapies and professional support options that may be available to individuals undergoing treatment for mental health conditions.
The course is suitable for individuals across all workplace roles but is particularly tailored for those in supervisory or managerial positions. It is designed for those responsible for fostering a positive mental health culture within their organization and overseeing First Aid for Mental Health initiatives. By completing this course, participants will be better equipped to promote mental wellbeing, offer support, and manage mental health-related responsibilities effectively.

Assessment
The instructor conducts ongoing summative practical assessments and written assessments each day. Upon successful completion, learners will receive a three-year Level 3 Award in Supervising First Aid for Mental Health (Level 6 in Scotland). No external assessors are required for this qualification.
Duration
The course requires a minimum of 12 hours, distributed over at least two days. While it is ideal to complete the course over two consecutive days, we can adjust the schedule to suit your specific needs, as long as the course is completed within 6 weeks of starting and each training session lasts at least two hours.

Certification Validity
This qualification is valid for three years. To renew it, learners must complete the course again. However, it is also recommended that learners attend regular CPD.

A maximum of 16 students can be accommodated on this course and all candidates must be a minimum of 16 years of age to qualify.
