Qualsafe Level 4 Award in First Response Emergency Care (RQF).
The Qualsafe Level 4 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised prehospital care qualification specifically designed for those looking to progress their career within the NHS or independent ambulance services as an emergency care assistant, intermediate ambulance practitioner, or event medical provider. It is also ideal for those who are looking to work within specialist roles in the military, police and fire services.

Following on from the Qualsafe Level 3 Award in First Response Emergency Care (RQF), this qualification provides learners with a wider scope of practice in prehospital care emergencies and also forms part of a progressive suite of prehospital care qualifications.

Certification
Summative practical assessment is ongoing by the instructor each day, along with written assessments. A Level 4 Award in First Response Emergency Care will be issued to the learner, subject to successful assessment.
Learners who achieve this qualification may progress on to other related qualifications within pre-hospital care. Qualsafe also offer qualifications in health & safety, food safety and safeguarding should learners wish to diversify.
Duration
A minimum of 39 hours spread over at least five days and 141 hours of self-directed study. Ideally, the course should be run over five consecutive days, but we have the flexibility to accommodate your specific needs if you so desire providing it is completed within 10 weeks of starting the course and the training sessions last for a minimum of two hours. Weekend courses are available.
